Kah Kow Experience is a multi-sensory, interactive chocolate museum in Santo Domingo

In continuing my recap of my travels to Santo Domingo, after our lunch at Travesias, Francina and her father took us to the (at the time) new chocolate museum called Kah Kow Experience where a special tour was set up for us. Francina said the Dominicans are very proud of their cacao production, and she chose this museum in particular because it was interactive and involved all of your senses. We got to feel the pods, smell the different roasted beans, taste the chocolate, and even make our own soaps out of the cocoa butter. After our tour, we sat out in the patio and enjoyed a—what else?—hot chocolate.I appreciate how the Kah Kow Experience offered a multi-sensory tour. Being vision impaired, I wish more museums and places of interest would follow suit and be more mindful of inclusivity.Kah Kow ExperienceCalle Las Damas 102Santo Domingo, Dominican RepublicPhone: +1 809 547-2166
